 I’m a hardworking mom with a passion for creativity and a drive to provide the best for my kids. What started as a way to make decorations, custom shirts, and school supplies for my family has turned into something much bigger—a business that brings joy to others and helps me provide for my loved ones.  Creating is more than just work for me; it’s my escape and my therapy. Seeing people happy with what I’ve made is the most rewarding part of what I do. I’m proud of how far I’ve come and excited about growing my business, sharing my talents, and connecting with more people who appreciate handmade, heartfelt creations. 

 I first met Caren during one of our pop-up events at Sol Treasures, though her connection with Sol Treasures goes back much further. Funny enough, Caren was one of our very first volunteers when Sol Treasures began 17 years ago. She often shares that Sol Treasures helped ignite her passion and launch her journey into artistic, handcrafted entrepreneurship. Today, Caren is an elementary school teacher who brings culture and creativity into her classroom by running it like a mercadito and proudly showcasing cultural pieces. Her love for artisanal crafts continues to shine as she presents her work at local pop-up events, keeping tradition and creativity alive. 

I’ve always loved wearing cultural items—especially when they come in the form of clothing and shoes that tell a story. When I discovered Guaraxez, I was instantly obsessed—not just with their beautiful products, but with the heart behind them. Each item is handcrafted by skilled artisans—true craftsmen and craftswomen—in Mexico. These pieces aren’t mass-produced; they’re made with intention, tradition, and love.

What makes Guaraxez special is that every item is unique—because someone’s hands, history, and heritage brought it to life. I’ve had the pleasure of knowing Louie for the past three years as our pottery instructor at Sol Treasures. What I didn’t know until recently is that Louie and his partner, Brooke, run their own small business—creating natural, everyday products that are not only good for our bodies but also for the environment.

I’m always proud to support local small businesses, especially when they’re rooted in sustainability and care. Louie and Brooke are a beautiful example of creativity, purpose, and partnership coming together to make a difference.

This year, I had the incredible opportunity to attend Latina Fest in Los Angeles—and I left with a heart overflowing with pride, inspiration, and a deeper love for our Hispanic culture. There’s something undeniably powerful about being surrounded by Latina women—warriors in every sense of the word. But when that warrior spirit is paired with inner healing and soul work? The transformation is phenomenal.

One of the most profound moments of my experience was meeting the authors of "The Alchemy of Release", Patricia Quesada Lastiri and Veronica Esmeraldo. These two extraordinary women are guiding lights—sharing a message that so many of us need to hear: it’s time to release the trauma, shed the emotional weight, and activate the light within us.

At Latina Fest, I picked up a new leather wallet, and I’ve been obsessed ever since—the color, the texture, the craftsmanship… it’s everything. What makes it even more special? I’m not someone who usually carries a wallet or handbag, but this piece? It’s different. I feel a deep sense of pride every time I pull it out—because it carries not just my essentials, but also a piece of my heritage and culture.
